Furniture Restoration and Repair

This was a standard georgian card table. The piece needed extensive restoration it required many sections of veneer replacing, there were also splits along the top. Fillets were used and coloured to matched to the original. The piece had sections of timber missing from the tapered legs, new sections were patched in and colour matched. We then used a very thin layer of french polish to seal much of the colour applied to the fillets and finished with wax. We took care to use replacement sections of old veneer.
